We have a webserver with Apache and Perl running a documentation site. This is a new system. Previously we had it running a site on AMP. One of my early predecessors made a slackware live cd that would essentially be a replica of the webserver and could be booted at a temp. location on a laptop in case of emergency. Now we want to use ubuntu and UCK to make a similar solution for the new site. As i have understood it i will use the console option to customise install and removal of apps from the live cd iso.

My question would be how can i get Apache and Perl set up correctly and how could i later inject the tarball backup of the site into the live cd iso to make an updated iso every week (we currently do this on the old slackware iso, but i'm not familiar with the details around it)
