Hi,

I have a ScanExpress A3 USB 1200 Pro (USB) scanner and the mustek website displays a driver for linux. Unfortunately, when double clicking on the .deb file, it says "Wrong architecture 'i386'". I guess that's because my Ubuntu is 64 bits while the driver is 32 bit.

So... Is there a way for me to use this driver (short of starting a 32-bit VM) ?

I can attach the driver if needed. It can be found at http://mustek.com/mustek/supportdrivers.php, Select Scanner > USB Port > ScanExpress A3 USB 1200 Pro

Thanks for any help.

Note: I have contacted their technical support and am waiting for an answer.

As expected, no answer yet from the tech support. Does anyone know if it is possible to use a scanner 32-bit driver on a 64 bit ubuntu?
