Ubuntu on TV with remote control input

What's unusual about running Ubuntu on a TV, I do it. Remote input is also doable using a compatible remote and Lirc, it's available in the repositories. I personally use a wireless keyboard and mouse.

Just about every person who has Mythbuntu installed uses Ubuntu on TV with a remote control input.

I also carry a spare remote control and homebrew IR receiver in my laptop bag, so I can use my laptop (running Ubuntu Natty and XBMC) as a portable media center.
