Right now I'm reading a book called "Hacking: The Art of Exploitation" and I'm reading the programming section. Where can I learn more about how memory registers and memory are affected in the CPU?
The book is great, but I feel like I'm "burned out" from all the reading. I'd like to get as much as "real world" hands on experience as possible.
Thanks guys!

Good book, however the short answer that a moderator will likely inform you of is "not here"
That being said I would learn about assembly :-)

Any good place to get "hands on" with assembly. I know that there's plenty of hands on things to do, but I want a challenge. I want to figure things out and see how much I've learned.
Is there a Terminal puzzle of some sort?
I've highlighted the book in different colors to make sure that I'm fully understanding it. Now, it's time for a challenge!

Not asking for ubuntu support. Moved to the Cafe.
If you wish to learn about programming, then this sub-forum may suit you well. http://ubuntuforums.org/forumdisplay.php?f=39

Thanks uRock,
Is there like a pseudo-terminal where I can input commands to see what works and to see how I can break in?
I'm checking the other forum out right now and it's very cool :)

I have a VBox installed for breaking things.

What's this "VBox"?

It is a virtual install of ubuntu, via Oracle VirtualBox. http://www.virtualbox.org/

Thank you :)
I have a feeling I won't know what to do until I get to the Exploits section of my book. I'm on page 30, since Saturday Sept. 17. Exploits is the next chapter/section which starts on page 115.

Also plenty of free online assembly books and resources if you gooogle.

Thanks guys, but that's not what I'm looking for. I'll get an assembly book. I'll write an open source terminal application later.
