I have an old laptop with hardware that doesn't work with recent kernels. This computer doesn't boot from usb or cd, that being said I'm capable of installing via grub and the contents of the minimal mini.iso. Through a little research I believe the last version of ubuntu that was stable on this laptop was 7.04, and it appears that this is also the first version of ubuntu minimal that isn't available for download. Does anyone know if this image is archived some place where I can get a copy?

There are some 7.04 downloads here

7.04 is unsupported, so you will get an installation full of security holes, when you get it running.

Better to try a new (but light) distro, if you can make it boot:

If you are just wanting a "terminal only" install. The alternate install cd has this option (F4). Im guessing that 7o4 will have this option.
