View Full Version : Need suggestion for an active open source group

I'm looking to join an active knowledgeable open source group to help promote the use of free software and linux in general. I have a BS in Computer Science and I'm currently doing a Master's.

I've been using Ubuntu for a while and I want to join an online team to help promote it an educate people about it.

Please let me know if you know of any group that I might be interested in.

(I already visited the FSF site and found it way to radical for my taste)

Perhaps you'd like to get your hands dirty writing FOSS? Lots of great projects are understaffed right now. It would promote FOSS by improving the quality of software choices on Linux and other FOSS operating systems.

Try and find a LUG (Linux Users Group) in your area... that is a quick way to help make a big difference :)
