For some reason whenever I log into Ubuntu, the theme starts off like this-

That is what I want it to look like, but after a few seconds it changes to this-

If I go into preferences and play around with the theme, it changes the appearance of the windows, but the menu bar remains white. Any ideas on how to get it back to the default black?

actually i am also one of the user who had faced this problem at starting days of 11.04 . at those i got solution but none worked to me .

after using it many times what i figure out is if i shutdown my ubuntu with out closing all the application then automatically in the next restart i have got this white theme . so everytime make sure that all the applications of are quit .
