Hi is it OK to share a common swap file for Natty and Mint Kayla?
Environment is on same machine, being used as separate sessions.

Here is the history:
Mint Julia had a major crash so I installed Natty using same swapfile as Julia, and a new version of Mint, same swapfile.
I had assumed same swap no problem, but in both new installations from start had problems with directory permissions, and some errant behaviour.

Part of the errant behaviour was originally Natty Unity desktop worked, then after an upgrade it reverted to Gnome and Unity support is now NO. Am about to replace this installation of Natty with the latest so any advice about the swap and or running two versions of Linux appreciated.
Alistair.

I donīt see a reason not to have same swap for different linux distros.I do it all the time with no problem. But maybe someone knows better.

Yes I agree, and since OP have found that its normal practice so I need to look elsewhere for instability problems thanks vm.
