View Full Version : [ubuntu] How to set default setting for all users

Hello,

I'm not sure if this is in the right section at all, but here is the story.

At school we are working on setting up a server using Ubuntu and LTSP to boot multiple thin clients off of a server, and utilize old machines in our building. We're doing some testing now to get everything in working order before we migrate to the new server.

So far we have a few things working. We've successfully booted a few thin clients off of the server. Just recently I've managed to get the server to authenticate using our Windows Active Directory usernames. I'm working on automatically mounting our student drives, and that is almost complete.

Now onto my question. I want to be able to set a setting, and default it to every user that logs on. Is there any way to do this?

Also, has anyone found an easy way to authenticate with CipaFilter automatically using Ubuntu.

Any help, knowledge, and links would be greatly appreciated!
