well, please excuse duplicate post in ubuntu studio subforum, but no answers there so guessing this might be an issue that can be addressed in regular ubuntu:

http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1841978

so anyway, thanks for any help!
The menu bar seems to be very dark gray or black on black for all text. Even the time in the top right of the menu/tool bar is so dark against the toolbar color that it can't be seen. In terms of a window with focus, all i can see is the close button (in Studio is just a red circle with an X). No minimize, no maximize, no menu, no time...the text is all too dark to see.

It is there if I guess where to click with the mouse and the text turns gray, but other wise, I have no idea what the mouse is selecting until I select it.

Is there any way to change the colors? The appearance application does not edit the menu bar...

Thanks!

Could you post some screenshots?

Btw, cross-posting is against the CoC (http://ubuntuforums.org/index.php?page=policy).

Attached is the screenshot.

As to the cross post, like I said, I apologize and wouldn't have apologized had I not understood it was against CoC. I do appreciate finally getting a response, however. The problem is that I use my system more frequently than the previous post was getting any replies. How long is one supposed to wait for usability questions to be answered before a cross post is allowed?

Thanks, tlrivll, that does get the text color back in the menu bar but I was hoping to keep the studio theme. As it happens, in ubuntu classic the text colors are there in the studio theme so this appears to be a unity specific problem.
