i'm trying to boot ubuntu 11.04 from a thumb drive onto my netbook. i know it works because i tested it on my desktop and it booted just fine. when i plug it into my netbook and try to start it up a black screen comes up with the following message: SYSLINUX 4.04 EDD 2011-04-18 Copyright (C) 1994-2011 H. Peter Anvin et al
that is it. it has a flashing _ underneath and will not do anything.
has anyone come across this before/ have any ideas how to fix this?
