Hello, new user of the Ubuntu world here.
I just installed Lubuntu and realized that flash player is not included. I tried installing from http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/ and nothing worked. I did some searches and apparently you can install it from either Ubuntu Software Center or Synaptic, but I couldn't find either in Lubuntu. I tried downloading them for Lubuntu and couldn't find anything.
How can I get the flash player installed?
Thanks in advance!

Install lubuntu-restricted-extras with synaptic

Welcome to the forum. An easy way to accomplish this, I assume you have Firefox as well. Install the addon Flash-aid in FF. Run the script, use all the default settings and let it install the current flash. This should fix all your flash problems system-wide. It will also un-install anything that conflicts.

Cheers!

How do I install things? I tried installing Synaptics, what files am I suppose to run in it?
And the same for Firefox, I can't seem to figure out how to install programs.

Thanks for the help!

I tried installing Lubuntu restricted-extras but I can't seem to figure out how to install things. I downloaded the "Source Package" from https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/maverick/+package/lubuntu-restricted-extras and it was just a bunch of files. I downloaded the "Published Versions" and all of them gave errors when I tried to run them by clicking on them.
What am I doing wrong?

go to the menu on the panel, then system tools, then select "synaptic package manager"

click on the right side window & start typing "lubuntu" it will find as you type.
