I would like to get gnome back

I just installed 11.04 on a fairly new laptop after using 8.04 for years. This doesn't look like Gnome, not sure what it is for the desktop screen. I can't even find the terminal. After searching a little, I haven't found out how to get Gnome back. Could some kind soul please help me?

This doesn't fix ALL the changes, but it helps make the interface more familiar. I personally reverted my ubuntu computer to 10.04.

You could have selected Gnome Classic from the menu at the bottom bar while you log on to your computer.
