According to this (http://www.winehq.com/?issue=314) page, it will be. Just search for "Earth", and you'll find it. :p

It's one of those programs I missed when I made to transfer over to ubuntu. www.flashearth.com (http://www.flashearth.com) doesn't cut it for me (flash is a resource hog!) :-#

Yea, I just hope they don't charge for the software itself. :-|

I'm pretty sure China made the decision with Google, not the other way around.

My bet is that they'll "port" using winelib which is about the same as saying "**** you very much"

Why?
What's so terrible about winelib?

I hate to say it but why not just use Windows live-local, it doesn't require a download just access from the web browser.

Definitely more resource friendly than Microsoft's live local.

Personally I'm more excited about the planned Linux-port (http://www.worldwindcentral.com/wiki/World_Wind_FAQ#Mac_and_linux_ports.3F) of NASA World Wind (http://worldwind.arc.nasa.gov/).
