I have a bunch of LCD monitors lying around and want to put them to use. One thing I've considered is a high-res digital photo frame. I need something to run the software though and connect to the monitor. My main criteria is noise, I want something that is extremely quiet (if not silent) - I have an older desktop that would be perfect but it is just too noisy.
Suggestions would be welcomed in terms of server hardware. I've come across a few interesting small and quiet servers such as those offered by Excito (http://www.excito.com/), however there is no graphical capability.
Anyone embarked on a similar project?
