You can reinstall ubuntu using the whole disk. https://help.ubuntu.com/community/GraphicalInstall

You could move wubi to a seperate partition and then remove windows. http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1519354

Mate, i did the same thing as you, launched wubi to install ubuntu...and used it for a week...and decided to install ubuntu in seperate partition... but before doing that, there is a need of understanding the HOWTO install ubuntu....so good luck with that...:)

The only 'dangers' are associated with you losing data and/or your Windows partition when you reformat your hard drive to install Ubuntu. Make sure you copy all the files you want to keep onto a spare HDD, disc or USB drive before you go ahead and repartition your hard drive.

Once this is done you can shrink your Windows partition to make room for an Ubuntu partition and operate a dual boot setup or delete everything and set up an Ubuntu only hard drive. If you have decided you have no need for Windows then at least check you have a disk to reinstall Windows should you change your mind or burn a Windows recovery disk yourself.

I don't want to be negative , just be sure you will not need Windows in the future . If have a Windows disc , great , if your Windows is preloaded make sure you have a way to restore it so you don't have to $pay for it later . Enjoy Ubuntu ! :)
