99.999% of viruses/spyware, etc do not work on Linux -- they will probably "install" (to an extent), but they are like sitting ducks unless IE starts them..

My Idea: keep a process table open and kill everything that says wine, and every child process of wine when you are done browsing, from that point, I think every virus and stuff is contained in .wine..

You are probably putting it at some considerable risk - WINE isa bug by bug compatible implementation.

I'm not sure you are putting your machine in much danger, can't be too careful though I guess.
