View Full Version : [SOLVED] 2nd screen

I have a dual screen setup with 2 identical Iiyama 24" screens.
Nvidia only detects the DVI one and I can't get the other one over 1360x768 resolution.
Tried changing it to 1920x1080 in xorg.conf but then I just get a blank screen.
Any way to get this screen to full resolution?

Can you post your xorg.conf after plugging both panels and
running

sudo nvidia-xconfig ?
Which nvidia driver?
Which ubuntu (guess it is not 7.04? )
Which nvidia card?
Post output from

xrandr -q

Can you post the whole xorg.conf please ?
Think you should add a virtual screen size...

Ok,problem seems to be not recognized monitor data (edid) for crt0.

You should edit Hsync to the correct value for your Iljama...( => manual)
edit:
(85 should be ok)

I edited post #6...

gksudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf
change Hsync
55
to
85
Also change:
Option "metamodes" "CRT: 1360x768 +0+0, DFP: 1920x1080 +1360+0"
to
Option "metamodes" "CRT: 1920x1080 +0+0, DFP: 1920x1080 +1920+0"

restart X or reboot, and you should be fine.
