My graphics card is " Intel 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics controller". It worked fine with" ubuntu 7.10." Now I installed "edubuntu 10.04". But i am unable to enable visual effects.( This was possible with ubuntu 7.10 ). I couldn't also play some games. Ubuntu failed to find any drivers. No driver is listed in "System>Administration>Hardware drivers". I use Windows XP SP2 alongside with ubuntu.I have the driver of this graphics card for windows. How can i install the graphics driver in ubuntu and enable desktop effects? Please help.

See Workaround A and F. Don't get your hopes too high that everyhting will work as expected (KMS/DRI are disabled by default for a reason).
