I regularly use Truecrypt. Sometimes a small truecrypt icon appears centered on the desktop, as in attached screenshot. Removing it is impossible. It behaves exactly as the icon in th etray: clicking on it shows the truecrypt window, right clicking shows the same menu.
Anybody has any idea how to prevent the icon from appearing or how to remove it?

Wow, that's weird. I also use TrueCrypt in Xubuntu...but I'm not experiencing that issue. I assume you've right-clicked on it to see it there's some kind of option to remove or adjust it?

Yes, rigth clicking shows the same menu that you get right clicking on the tray icon: Hide Truecrypt, Mount all Favorite volumes, etc.

I recently installed Debian squeeze with xfce desktop. The described behavior doesn't happen with it.
