View Full Version : [SOLVED] Can't find repository

After installing the basic server system (11.04) on a repaired laptop, the system can't install programs. There seems to be no access to the repositories. Nothing is found, not even the upgrade to the Linux core. On this computer, there's no problem. The laptop is connected to the same router and has the same access to Internet. I can't see any reason why this should be a problem.
Right now I'm downloading the desktop CD so I'll try a more complete install, but I'm not having too much hope. I would still need to install more programs and upgrades.

I have used Ubuntu on this laptop before, without problems, but that was an earlier version (9.10). I'm running 11.04 on my other computers and there has never been a problem like this.

Any ideas?
(The first thing I did after logging in was sudo apt-get dist-upgrade. Didn't find anything).

I downloaded and installed the desktop version.
It took some time but was painless, and the system is now upgrading.
No problems with repositories.
