Case in point - https://help.ubuntu.com/community/HPPrinterInstallation

The documents below describe the Ubuntu way for installing your printer in Ubuntu GNU/Linux 5.10 "Breezy Badger", 6.06 "Dapper Drake", and 7.04 "Feisty Fawn". It is targetted at direct connected USB or LPT (Parallel) printers and not at network printers.

I have run across this a few times doing searches for issues. Now I am sure that very often the info will be relevant across later releases as well, but the mere fact that only a few older releases get mentioned puts that in doubt.

Shouldn't there be a drive to get the paperwork up to scratch perhaps?

I'm sure they could use some assistance (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DocumentationTeam) with this. ;)

Hi not found, are you aware the documentation is a community effort and YOU can fix any pages that you think are out of date? :)

The documentation is maintained by the community, so feel free to update it.

Or send me some HP printers and I will update it. My address is ... :)
