View Full Version : [ubuntu] Samsung 65GB SSD: Anyone have a success or failure story?

Hi all,

I'm thinking of buying a Samsung 65GB SSD: Samsung 64 GB Solid State Drive MZ-5PA064 (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003Z6Q8XY/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER)

The newegg comments are mostly good, but the comments for most other SSD in this price range are
bad. Corsair has one about the same price and size, and had a ton of negative comments about the
drive dying and cool start issues.

I am running Maverick on a Lenovo T400. I have had some issues with the 2.6.33 kernel, but
I guess I will be going back to it if I get his drive.

It sounds like there is TRIM support but I'd love to hear from anyone who owns one now or has in the past.

Thank you very much,
