I tried upgrading to the release canidate and experienced many errors. After it finished, my computer would not boot to dapper and when I try booting to breezy it just comes up to a command prompt with no internet access.

I have booted from a Breezy Live CD and mounted the Linux partition.
I also did a chroot to the mount point.

Can someone please help me get dapper working or help revert it to breezy?

Also, I do not have a Windows partition.

When it asks you to login, login and do:

startx

That's should get you to a GUI. That's all I know, though.

It is worse than that, it says there is a problem with gdm.conf. It basically, says to fix it and try again. I do not know how to fix it.

I am sorry I tried upgrading. I will probably have to re-install from scratch to another partion and copy over my home directory. And then re-install cross over office so I can run the programs that are coded specifically to IE.
