I had a prior installation of Ubuntu 11.04 which worked perfectly fine. For some reason I had to reinstall it, and now I am stuck with a situation where the packages available to be installed (repositories and ppa added in the sources.list) are not displayed in GUI Synaptic Package Manager. However I can go ahead and install them from terminal using sudo apt-get install <pkgname> command.
I have noticed that this problem is specifically happening for the badgerports repository (for monodevelop) and ubuntu extras.
Please help.
