Hey,

I am working on this remotely and my wife cannot login due to Unity being set as the default desktop environment.

Is there anyway to change the default from command line or where is this setting stored?

Thanks for everything,
Matt

I don't know what Unity being default has to do with your wife not being able to login . My user accounts work in both Ubuntu Classic and Unity . The options for desktops are offered from the session list in the login screen .

Here are instructions on how to login to Ubuntu Classic from the GUI .
