always burn at the slowest speed, and maybe use boot option:

Just have, a little patience, and let it work, for some time. Have patience and it will definitely boot.

I think this is a problem of Mint not showing any plymouth display, or anything else when booting a live CD for the recent version 11. There have been many posts on the web about this, with users expecting the Mint logo, which always showed in the past, but usually, as soumyabratapaul says, it will eventually pop up with the desktop.

In my experience Mint always seems to take longer to boot than ubuntu, especially the live CDs, but your situation may be different to mine, and it may be hardware related.

I can boot Linux Mint 11 in hardware compatibility option but I don't know how to install Mint from the command line...

Is there a way to start installation from the command line?
