Hi. I start using ubuntu 64bit these days. Found applications for almost all things, but wasn't able to find a good qq client. Try webQQ and the chrome plugin webQQmini, but they haven't only one percent of the functional range of windows client. Pidgin can't connect to the server. Is there any usable qq client now?

Like someone already said, I believe: use the web version. You can send files, chat, video chat and all that with it and it should work on Linux as well as Windows.

web.qq.com (http://web.qq.com)

Its very slowly. And how can I work during using qq in the background? Will I see a flashing icon if there is a message?
Is there a option to change the language to english?

Bumping this thread as it is actually important.
The only client available is a beta for x86 for Ubuntu 7.10 from
http://im.qq.com/qq/linux/download.shtml

That link itself is difficult to find on the main QQ page.

Ubuntu comes installed on many systems in China, but they are uninstalled almost intantly and replaced with a pirated Windows version. QQ not being available is one of the reasons.
