Does anyone know an alternative website for Google which is just as good?
For Chinese content I know www.baidu.com but for English ,I don't know any.
The reason I'm asking is that Google is often blocked here and all the proxies i've used are too slow for my taste.

www.alltheweb.com is the only search engine which comes close to google's quality, from what I've experienced.


You should try something like TOR or JAP to bypass your regime's censorship.

I use Ask.com all the time its great. Aslong as you don't plan on doing any image searches. Use Google for that, its much better.

have you tried the simple alternative of Yahoo?

(not sure if you have this in your country, I think it's in South Korea)

Someone has to mention Mircosoft's search engine Live! just to be fair - it actually not halfbad to be honest although it seems slow compared to Google.

strangely google.cn is often unavailable as well

i don't know if it's blocked or what
both google.com and google.cn act very weird here
