System Locks up.

Im am running Ubuntu 10.10, on My Acer Aspire 900 proccessor, 3 gig ram, gma4500m video and 250gig hd and this is my 6th computer running ubuntu and the only one i am having issues .. i will be using the computer and it will just lock up and i cant do anything.. even if i have nothing running.. now lets say i have firefox open and a facebook game playing and the system locks.. i can see it still moving and playing but i cant click on anyhting on the screen.. i did check this and saw this if it helps
