I've tried to capture this stream with Audacity and VLC -- I'm sure there is a setting I am missing. I would love a clearly written "How To" for how to do this if anyone can point me toward the instructions.

Thanks.

The simplest way would be installing 'Audio recorder' from here......
https://launchpad.net/~osmoma/+archive/audio-recorder

I have installed this on both my Natty boxes and it works just fine.

It records anything that is currently playing through your sound card and saves it to a folder named Audio in your home folder.

Note to install audio recorder use the link above and it's instructions.

To see info from the developers thread here and for source code .....

Big thumbs up and double "likes". Thanks. Glad to learn about that app and the instructions for installing were so clear. Perfect!
