OSX Lion won't recognize USB flash drive with 11.04?

When either alt-booting or selecting startup disk in System Preferences, my Mac won't recognize the connected USB flash drive with Ubuntu 11.04 installed on it- the drive just doesn't show up.

Sorry, not really an Ubuntu problem, but I figured someone here might know why the drive doesn't show up, and how to change it?

Thanks so much. I guess it wouldn't hurt to do some trouble shooting/documentation myself for this. (and thanks for not trolling a newb who doesn't know how the forum works- hence the second post :P)

ah, ok thanks Hakunka-Matata. The second link has info on the special case of booting Ubuntu from a flash drive on a Macbook Air, which is what I'm doing, and it documents this problem perfectly. Why didn't I find that before myself... but thanks again!
