I just installed and fully updated the latest Oneiric Alpha, installed Gnome Shell. When I change the theme to a transparent one their seems to be the Unity panel sitting behind the top gnome panel, see screenshot:

Whats up with that? Do i need to remove Unity from my set up or is there another way around this?

lol whaaat. That is so weird. I wonder what's causing that :S. I don't think this has anything to do with Unity. Possibly a gnome bug in Oneiric, is anyone else seeing this? I haven't used gnome-shell in oneiric for a couple weeks.

Yes it is quite bizarre. Hopefully someone knows how to fix this :D

Please try to disable "Have file manager handle the desktop" option in gnome-tweak-tool and restart gnome shell.

It happens to me when I am using "compiz" as window manager selected from "compiz fusion"

But in my case, it showing just unity panels not gnome's even I am in gnome desktop :D

(but It was not the issue to me, I just changed the panel icon size to 32 an opacity to 0. Unity is awesome )
