Acer Aspire 5830TG TimelineX Thread

For all of us 5830TG owners. Anybody getting close to the 8hour mark for battery life, as this laptop claims? I'm getting more like a little over 2.5 hours. Way off the 8 hour mark.

Windows 7 was on the machine when first purchased and as I can recall, I did get at least 5 hours of use with some juice to spare. I know that the 4820TG thread has had some activity regarding issues with battery life also.

4 hours 52 min (Ubuntu 12.10)
Initially i too got around 2.5 hours of battery backup on 12.10 version, but after installing bumblebee(ubuntu supporting nvidia optimus) my acer timelineX 5830tg battery backup increases to 4-5 hours. I recommend to install it with current version of nVidia current
