I think in the future html5 apps will be showing in the near future in like cloud computing, in my opinion i think ubuntu developers should start developing a base for html5 apps so instead of going on the internet everytime to get access (which my be difficult if your isp decides to be a pain) it would be like any other app on your system. But the best part is that it will be 100% compatible with html5 apps for windows or apple (if they do decide to go down that route).

HTML5 itself already got OFFLINE feature, its like any other app on your system.

GTK3 has an html5 backend so you can actually develop gtk apps for in a web browser.
