How to get flash and Java up to date on Ubuntu 11.04

Hello

I would like to learn how to upgrade and update both Flash and Java on Ubuntu 11.04

I use both Mozilla Firefox and Chromium and not sure if I need to download flash and Java for each program or not

If you already have them installed,
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade will get you the latest versions in the repositories.

Things get a bit more complicated if you, for example, installed java using this method https://sites.google.com/site/easylinuxtipsproject/java , in which case you'd go through the same steps using the latest *.bin
