We are a small organization. We have installed local area network at our office. Email is our main communication tool. We have a following query:
1. Can Emails be delivered on the desk of the user without internet?
2. Which product is the cheaper and yet efficient?

1. if the user is linked to the network and mail server. it shud b able to receive email without having an internet connection itself.

2. found this doc on setting up a mail server using ubuntu:

https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MailServer

its all free... so the cheapest u'll get ;-). never used it myself so can verify how gd/efficient it is...

ps: if your a company u can get commercial support from canonical, as i'm not i've never dealt with it. but might b gd to contact em and see wot they offer.
