View Full Version : [wubi] Wubi & 10.04/ 10.04 vs 11.04

I have a couple of questions -

1. I have tried to install 10.04 via Wubi but it always defaults to installing 11.04. Is there any way to still install 10.04 with Wubi?

2. I went ahead with installing 11.04 on an Asus EEE Box - not very powerful but more than enough for what I use it for (home server to store movies etc and occasional browsing). Anyway 11.04 seems a tiny bit sluggish. I have an Asus netbook with much the same specs as the EEE Box and this seems to run faster - it has 10.04 on it. Does anyone out there have any experience of using the two on similar level hardware ? What is the performance of 10.04 vs 11.04 on low-spec hardware like the Asus EEE Box - in other words should I go back and wipe 11.04 to install 10.04? I really don't need 11.04 "improvements" (in fact using ubuntu classic desktop in preference to unity - would this slow it down?)
