Question about Ship It

I asked for a cd to be sent to me through Ship It and now I get this message when I log in


* 1 CDs requested in 2006-05-21. 1 CDs approved and sent to the shipping company in 2006-05-24. Please note requests usually take from 4 to 6 weeks to deliver, depending on the country of shipping.

I thought that the cd's were supposed to be the final release, so how could it have already been sent to the shipping company?
