Hi everybody,
I'm just having a small issue with Firefox 6 (Ubuntu 11.04, 32 bit).
Whenever I save a file and try to open it by double clicking in the
Downloads Windows, Firefox attempts to open it with Nautilus.
I can't understand why, but now every time I'm forced to open
the containing folder and launch the file manually.
It's not a big issue but I'd like to solve it.
Any hints?
Thanks a lot in advance four your help!

You can right click on the the file/document and select open with another application and choose from the list . Check the remember this application box . You may have to download and save a PDF or other document to set the application you would like to use for opening that type of file .

Thanks for the answer,
I've tried but the box to select "always use" this application
is greyed and I can't select it...
What can I do?
Thanks a lot in advance,
Cheers, Luca

Did you try to set the helper application Firefox uses for the file type in question? That would be, in Firefox, under "Preferences" > "Applications."

Hi, yes I did..
it asks me whether I want to save the pdf or not but doesn't allow me
to select "Remember this" when I open a pdf and want to set the default action!
Thanks again for your help!
