I remember reviewing this article some time ago.

I was really excited to read about the various lenses that could be coming out.

Do any of you know the status of these lenses?

The API in oneiric has been updated/changed a bunch since Natty, so we didn't actively ask people to make lenses.

However now that the new API is in 11.10 people are working to port the existing lenses, and then we'll go ahead and start asking people to make more lenses.

A little off-topic, but when is the system settings going to become a lense?

Awesome. I definitely can see some good additions with this coming to Ubuntu.
