An "Ubuntu Forums" circle on google plus

Hi,

There are already a lot of UF users that have a G+ account (for those who need one, check out this thread: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1793367 ). But it's difficult to get in touch with the UF users on G+.

So, why don't we all post the link to our G+ profile (just the URL when you are on your profile page)?

And linking from your G+ profile to your UF profile is also not a bad idea I guess (that way other users can see why you added them and who you are on the UF).

As far as social networking goes I am not too big on it but I like keeping in touch with folks. Facebook is too spammy/buggy/packed with "APPS" for me to ever consider liking it. So far G+ is not so I like it.

That just links to any users own profile. (I am not sure how to get the public profile url, mine showed it in the top, but I know other browsers like Opera did not).

This thread is great. My G+ prior to this consisted of a few friends that thought a new social network was interesting, but still mainly posted on facebook. There were really no conversations and very little content. Now, there is a lot of activity, several interesting links posted, and the conversations have been incredible.

Does anyone know when G+ will allow under 18s to join? I mean, I'm only 16 but I hate the immature idiots that overran myspace and facebook as well. Even then, I might not join. I'm really liking Diaspora so far :D

Apart from this thread, I do follow some people like Jordan Keyes or Linus Torvalds. But it's a bit scattered around in my circles. So I don't really have an interesting circle to share, and it wouldn't be big either.

Not all the discussions on my UF circle are directly related to Ubuntu. But almost all posts have something to do with tech stuff. Just like the discussions on this forum. A bit of cafe talk (without the games).
