Hi Folks,

I'm running 11.04 64 bit, but because I hate unity with a passion, I'm using Gnome.

One of the issues I'm having is that I set the screen saver to 2 hours and power management to never turn the screen off, and I make this the default.

However, on reboot, it does not listen to this behaviour. I have to go back in to the screen saver settings, move the slider down from 2 hours and back up again, and then go in to power management and click "make default" again before it stops going in to screen saver mode.

...and then on reboot it is rinse and repeat, because it makes watching films a real pain in the butt.

I am agreeing with Mr Torvalds, this is all going down the wrong path.
