Well, the title is not entirely true. I've had this happen three times and only since a firefox update yesterday. When I try to shutdown using the shutdown icon on my desktop, it goes to the splash screen and there it sits.
When I shutdown via terminal, it closes down just fine.
Has anyone else experienced this or have any other suggestions? I will undo that update tomorrow being that i need a break from the computer screen.
