Is it possible that he just happened to come up with the same logo? Not trying to be dumb, but I didn't see anything about Ubuntu or Linux just skimming through there.

My guess is someone saw the icon and thought it was cool and had no diea what it was actually from.

I've seen the "Circle of Friends" logo used on a lot of sites including one here in San Antonio for a Law Firm. :P
