View Full Version : [ubuntu] ---How can i get back to UTF-8

As a Chinese, I set locale to GB18030/GB2312/GBK locale, so I can see windows's file and folder name text, play mp3 file with chinese text info, etc. But later I found the change the locale back to UTF-8. So I back change what I have done as per the web link I followed before.

The result is: if I console terminal login, the locale is UTF-8, If I login X windows, the gnome terminal locale is still with LANGUAGE=gb18030..., I event recreate my login user, the result is same. I feel frustrated!
