when you say 'download', do you mean 'install'?
and how are you trying to accomplish this?

Please give us a link to that topic "someone" already created, and you should give us more info. How did you try to download it? What didn't work? ...
Please explain one step at a time.

You should retry installing Ubuntu. And do wait long enough. The last % can take a while.

you can't try installing Ubuntu in 9 minutes.
Did you boot up the live CD? Or are you on Wubi. In the last case, can you still access Windows?

Ok, try to go to the add/remove programs utility in Windows and remove Ubuntu from it.
Then Manually download the iso from here: http://www.ubuntu.com/
And then use Wubi to install that file.

11.04 is the most recent version, some say 10.04 is more stable.
You need the desktop version and amd64 will be the best architecture for you.

ok can i keep in touch with u on msn or skype if it wont work??
August 17th, 2011, 04:30 PM
No sorry, can't promise to stay online. In fact, I lost my msn password and currently don't have a skype installation, I should remove those links.
But it's nothing urgent. You still have Windows and as long as you install via Wubi, nothing can go wrong with Windows.
