Hi. New here and was looking to see if anyone has had success running LoL?

Installed Wine and have LoL installed but it gets stuck at the launcher. In fact, when I run the launcher, it looks like this.

Note how there is part of the logo on the upper left hand corner (goes away on mouse over.)

I'm 90% sure that it is an Ace Client problem. I can't get Ace Client to install. When I try to unzip the files, the installer will not unzip (unable to select.) Tried unzipping with Wine but of course Wine doesn't have an unzip program.

Running Maverick Meerkat 64 (on an HP laptop that came with Win Vista 64)
Wine 1.2.2

All help will be greatly appreciated.

so, i see your problem. now i can't get it to work either. my problem is when i try to install the Ace client , the installer says that i can't fine the instalation files!?. so thats when im thinking how do i tell wine where my files are located and get it to use them in the installition process...

your problem is that you need the program called unrar

sudo apt-get install unrar
let it install and do this in terminal

unrar x <FILE>
that extract the files, but you might run into same problem as me then...

Hi! I'm new here, but I've done some research on running League on Linux. LINK (http://na.leagueoflegends.com/board/showthread.php?t=1946188)
At the top of the linked thread you will find the steps for a fairly clean install of League on Linux.
You will need a previous install of League from a Windows PC, though.
