Recently, increasingly large percentages of space on my hard drive have been taken up by music sourced from netlabels (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Netlabel). For the uninitiated, a netlabel is like EMI, but it releases its music for free and is often the brainchild of a nerd in a basement somewhere in Norway. Oh, and it's not monolithic.
My question is, if I were to take the leap and start my own netlabel, would there be any significant interest? I would be interested in ambient, IDM, drone and other electronic-tinged and experimental music.
More info coming in the morning.
