New Install on Dell Inspiron M5030

I just installed ubuntu 11.04 on my Dell Inspiron M5030. I have it set to dual boot with Win7. After install I login, and it loads the background, then nothing. Any thoughts on what I may need?

Something got futzled somewhere but your post isn't specific enough to offer targeted help. Make sure the install disk you're using is good and double check your bios settings.There may be some issues specific to your hardware. (see below) You might review these 2 tutorials on ubuntu windows 7 dual boot to make sure you didn't miss something. (easy to do)
